I.O. Mixed Media card

I used stamps from Impression Obsession on my card... the background is done with acrylic and watercolor paints and Memento and Versafine inks on Neenah cardstock. The flowers were colored with Touch Twin Markers and a white pencil, and there are sparkly clear microbeads in their centers.

New Graphic 45 card

Here is the super fun handmade card and envelope featuring Steampunk Spells. Just imagine how amazing it would be to receive this gorgeous card as a gift! There are so many ways to create joyful treasures with Steampunk Spells! The envelope uses Fanciful Floral #4500681 as the base. A postcard sits at an angle on front with button stickers and flower punch outs. A book of spells was made from Nevermore #4500685. Cut and glued together, tied at the spine with back twine. The card uses Clockworks #4500682 side B as its base and is layered on top with a Lucky Spells postcard. A ticker is placed on top at an angle.

A fussy cut of the Steampunk Signature page ‘ladies head and hat’ is playfully tucked between the two layers at the top along with a cutout of the crow at the bottom. Flowers were punched out from the Graphic 45 Steampunk sheet, curled and inked and held together with a Graphic 45 brad.

Consider Yourself Vintage

This card was easy to make, but would be perfect to have on hand for a last minute Birthday card.
I cut the fish-tailed paper banners from coordinating patterned papers, and inked all of the edges. The center banner was adhered with foam adhesive, to pop it up a little. Next, the ribbon was added (over the banners).
The sentiment was stamped on patterned paper, cut out, and adhered with the foam adhesives.
Super easy and super cute!

New Hero from Shari Carroll

Next I'll show you my new addiction.... INK DAUBERS!!! These are so fun and the colors (yep I picked them) are some of my favorites! They come in Pale Tomato, Butter Bar, Field Greens, Tide Pool, Wet Cement and Cup O'Joe! If you're inclined to go with the brighter colors... six neon Daubers are also in the line up.

For now I'll hold you hostage to my favorite combination. I've used Tide Pool, Wet Cement and Cup O'Joe.

See the grid in the background??? It's a Hero Arts STENCIL!!!!

Designer Tip: Triangles and chevrons are all the rage right now. Add more of them to your layout by cutting your patterned papers into triangular shapes before adding them to your background paper. Use your sewing machine to stitch them in place and to add more texture and/or color.

Tinted Glass Bottles

Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles

Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles

Materials List

Here’s a quick and easy way to tint glass bottles and jars using Claudine Hellmuth Studio paint! They look so pretty sitting in a sunny window and you can fill your bottle with water and use it as a vase! The best part, it takes just a few minutes to make!
By Claudine Hellmuth
Instructions
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles Step 1Squeeze your paint onto a plastic spoon, here you can see the amount that I used. Classic Teal, Dash of Red, Smidge of Blue, Dab of Yellow work best because they are the most transparent.
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles Step 2Fill a small paper cup with water. You can see here the level that I filled my cup to. You can experiment with adding more or less water to get darker or lighter looks.
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles Step 3Mix in the paint with the water. Make sure it is thoroughly mixed, so there aren’t any globs of paint left behind.
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles Step 4Pour the mixture into your bottle and then swirl it around. Make sure to cover all areas. I recommend doing this part over a sink.
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles Step 5Dump the excess back into your paper cup.
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Tinted Glass Bottles Step 6Place your bottle on a paper towel upside down to dry. You may see some streaks but don’t fuss with them, they will blend in as the paint dries. Wait till the next day to make sure it’s fully dry! Decide if you want to add a second coat. Colors used here from left to right: Dash of Yellow, Classic Teal, Dab of Red.
